This past June, four students of the CAMP program were awarded at the California Student Media Festival:
Now at its 50th year, the California Student Media Festival is our nation’s oldest student media festival. The Festival exists to celebrate the amazing media and multimedia projects produced by California’s students and teachers – rewarding their successful classwork at an awards in June every year. The festival showcases what can be accomplished when talented students and dedicated teachers work together integrating media and multimedia into education. CAMP students were expected to create a video highlighting a school subject/category and showcase what they have learned. The video could not include any copyright materials.
In June 2016, the awards were held at the Zipper Concert Hall at the Colburn School of Los Angeles, California. In addition to receiving a plaque to showcase the accomplishments, teachers of all winning entries will receive a one-year membership to CUE and teachers of overall winners were given a cash prize and one complimentary registration to the CUE 2017 National Conference in Palm Springs!
