The Great Things We’ve Made (so far!)

Posted by Gretchen Peratt on 02-06-2013

It’s only been the first semester, and these camp kids have worked hard to produce amazing animations. The latest was a cloning project; a film with same subjects interacting with each other in the video. Here are a few examples:

Photography Period 5

IMG_0018-001We had a guest speaker named Hank, from Roberts Photography, come and speak to our class about the manual settings on camera. Roberts Photography is an LA based photography company that takes all of our schools activities photos. He taught us ways to improve the quality of pictures. He also helped us understand shutter speed, F-stop, and about Exposure. After our learning experience we decided to go outside and take photos with our new knowledge. We returned to the classroom to edit these great pictures. These are the results…Photo Edited ALex Noland

Photography Project Period 4

Posted by Gretchen Peratt on 01-29-2013

Recently in our class, we had a guest speaker that explained to our class how to use the manual settings on a camera to take better pictures. The guest speaker explained how to adjust many of the settings, such as exposure, when in different situations. After this tutorial, we took photographs around campus of things such as landscapes, weather shots, and motion shots. We then edited the photos and have uploaded them to this blog. We hope you like them!-4th Period CampRainy Day

UCLA Film School here we come.

Posted by Gretchen Peratt on 03-28-2012

Today we left CAMP to explore UCLA film school. This adventure includes a backlot VIP tour of this highly respected film school. More updates to come…Well…the weather wasn't half bad but we turned lemons into lemonade. The campers met a great photographer and his crew based out of New York in charge of a photo shoot for the Children's Place who so graciously showed us his work and answered some of the curious camper's questions.
